The Board of the New York Chapter of IHRIM is proud to announce…

we have a new Chapter name! The New York Tri-State chapter of IHRIM. But it’s not just a name change…

Recognizing the chapter’s broad demographic membership in the New York tri-state area, the Board decided to make this name change in order to recognize and reach out to our members in upstate NY, Long Island, New Jersey and Connecticut. The new name was officially approved and incorporated in July 2006. In line with our new name, you will see more focus on developing a broader reach throughout our membership by providing learning and networking opportunities in, and now beyond New York City.

In line with the broader reach of our new name, the New York Tri-State chapter will begin our satellite meetings in December with local presentations and discussions of an IHRIM web cast. If you are one of our many members outside of New York City, we’ll be reaching out to your neighborhood with meetings in Upstate New York, Westchester/Southern Connecticut, Long Island, Central New Jersey (Princeton area), and Northern New Jersey.

We hope you’ll connect with us at educational events, through publications, and networking to make the New York Tri-State chapter the premier regional education and networking source for HR Technology professionals.

About the New York Tri-State Chapter of IHRIM

The New York Tri-State Chapter of IHRIM serves New York, New Jersey and Southern Connecticut by providing a network for members to gain knowledge about HR technology, information management and HR issues and trends.

As the local chapter of IHRIM, our mission statement says it all - “The International Association for Human Resource Information Management is the leading international association enabling its members to achieve strategic objectives through the integration of information technology and human resource management.”
We are a professional association comprised of Human Resource and Information Technology professionals. We are people who share ideas on using technology to enhance the management of human resources. We accomplish this through networking, formal education and informal information sharing among our members.
At the Association level, IHRIM offers excellent educational opportunities through conferences and seminars, publications, the website and list servers. Additional services are provided through “SIGs” – Special Interest Groups – such as the Global SIG and the Security/Privacy SIG.

The New York Tri-State Chapter is one of 21 chapters providing yet another level of service. Through chapter programs and informal networking among members, we enhance the educational and networking opportunities for HRIT professionals throughout the tri-state area.
